Installation

Carbon supports Windows 10 and 11 (64-bit) today. macOS is in development; Linux is planned.

Before you install

Section titled “Before you install”
  • Internet: Required on first launch while Carbon downloads the Roblox bundle for your selected channel.
  • Disk space: Leave room for the Carbon app, Roblox version folder(s), and optional mods/themes.
  • Antivirus: Carbon verifies downloads with SHA-256. If a scanner quarantines the installer, restore it from carbonlabs.dev and compare the hash on the download page.

You do not need a Carbon account to install.

Section titled “Option A: MSI (recommended)”
  1. Open Download Carbon.
  2. Download the .msi installer.
  3. Run the installer and launch Carbon from the Start menu.

Option B: NSIS setup (.exe)

Download the .exe setup from the download page and run it.

Option C: PowerShell one-liner

The script verifies SHA-256 locally and via the public verify API, then runs the installer.

Verify manually
